What is the role?

Zencity’s surveys help state and local governments to understand and respond to the needs of their residents. Our research enables clients to effectively tackle many of their most critical challenges, in areas such as COVID-19 response, infrastructure spending, economic development, and police transparency. With the insights from these surveys, leaders are able to make more informed decisions and deliver better results for their communities.

As Zencity’s Surveys Services Lead, you will lead a team of dedicated research analysts in creating customized survey solutions for our clients, from project planning and questionnaire design through data analysis and reporting. You will also lead the development of Zencity's survey research tools and methodology, to promote survey quality and scalability. The Surveys Services Lead works closely with the Customer Success and Product teams to develop new survey offerings that meet client needs and complement Zencity’s other products and services. 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of survey research operations and delivery, including questionnaire design, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Build a global team- hire, onboard and train the Survey Research team members in Israel and the US.
  • Improve quality and scalability of Zencity’s survey services by promoting the development of new tooling and processes.
  • Measure and track the success of our surveying services
  • Establish and maintain documented best practices for survey methodology, data collection, and data analysis
  • Work closely with the Customer Success team to determine client needs and coordinate the implementation of end-to-end survey projects
  • Partner with the internal Zencity teams (Product, Marketing, Strategic Partnerships) to align the surveys services with company strategy and business goals. 
  • Collaborate with other teams (including Product and Data Science) to develop tools that streamline survey workflows and promote consistent and high-quality deliverables


Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience with quantitative research in a professional or academic context
  • At least 2 years of experience in survey design and execution
  • Experience leading a team and providing hands-on mentoring and training
  • Academic training in a related field (such as political science or public policy) or equivalent professional experience
  • Native-level English proficiency
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Results and goal-driven
  • Systematic, methodical thinker and executer
  • Experience working in a service-oriented and client-focused environment. Specifically, experience working with US clients

Preferred:

  • Ability to analyze data using software such as Python or R
  • Experience presenting to C-suite and executive leadership at large organizations and/or governments.
  • Experience developing new products, services, and/or software
  • Public policy or government experience
  • Familiarity with current events (especially social and political) in the United States
  • Experience with online marketing and audience targeting tools and methods
