In mid-January, the Clearwater (Florida) Police Department launched a new public survey to better understand residents’ trust and satisfaction with the department. The survey instrument, Blockwise, will allow the police department to holistically understand neighborhood issues while improving the agency’s responsiveness to local community concerns and priorities.

As Clearwater Police Chief Daniel Slaughter said: “There is no better time than now to be resolute in our commitment to hearing feedback from our neighborhoods regarding our public safety efforts.” Chief Slaughter is also the vice president of the Board of the Police Executive Research Forum
